Located in the middle of the Northeast
Plain, Changchun City is a key regional transportation hub. Railways run
from the city in all directions, and high-class highways link many middle
and large cities within and outside the province. Changchun Airport handles
flights by 36 international and domestic airlines, and the construction
of the new Changchun International Airport will further improve its passenger
and cargo handling capacity when it is completed. Now, the city's passengers
transport capacity has reached more than 50 million person-times. Tourists
can enter Changchun by railway, highway and air from all directions.

one of the national trading ports, Changchun has developed its airport to
international specifications capable of handling the largest aircraft now
flying. The facility is located in the suburbs, 11 km away from the city
center. Regular flights are available to and from 24 domestic cities, namely
Beijing, Hong Kong, Dalian, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xiamen,
Nanjing, Qingdao, Wuhan, Zhuhai, Shantou, Haikou, Kunming, Wenzhou, Fuzhou,
Weifang, Yantai, Jinan, Weihai, Chengdu, guilin and Yanji. There are also
international links with Seoul and Vladivostok. |
