A Survey of the Project: Tonghua-Dongfeng Expressway socially and economically links Changchun, the capital of the province, to Baishan City, Tonghua City, etc. And it is a key passage from Changchun to the sea through Dadong Port. It is also an economic artery that horizontally links Ji'an, Tonghua, Meihekou, Liaoyuan, Siping, Shuangliao and some areas in Inner Mongolia. The construction of this expressway will be very meaningful for shortening the spatial-temporal distance between the capital and Baishan City and Tonghua City, accelerating the opening to foreign countries, and realizing the revitalization of the old industrial bases in Jilin Province. The total length of this expressway is 98 kilometers. It will be built into a standard four-lane expressway. The period of construction is from 2007 to 2010. By now, the Preparatory Feasibility Report has been compiled.
